Clarins After Sun Gel Review

20130505_122013

Clarins After Sun Gel. This weekend in Vancouver was one of those perfect, not-a-single-cloud-in-the-sky record breaking warm weekends that make spring such a fantastic time of the year.

It was patio weather at its best. Of course, the first thing we did was to find an amazing spot by the water to enjoy drinks and some great food. The sun was beating down from above, the water was sparkling and we were enjoying ourselves tremendously.

It wasn’t until that evening that I realized I had forgotten one crucial step that morning…..Sunscreen! I apply it daily on my face without thinking but I’m no longer conditioned to apply it on my body before going out.  So even though I had a bit of a sunburn I decided that all was not lost because I could go out and find a fabulous new after sun lotion.  Wandering the aisle at my local drugstore I spotted, Clarins After Sun Gel.  It has a lovely summery scent that’s quite delicate.  Trying it out in the store I immediately felt a cooling sensation on my skin.  Two days later and my skin is well hydrated and the sunburn has faded into a nice tan. I am thinking that I may adopt this gel into my regular skin care routine. It’s definitely becoming a permanent resident in my bathroom!

Have you ever tried Clarins after sun gel? What’s your favourite after sun product?

This post made me reminisce my vacation day at Island paradise Boracay.
Like you I forgot to apply sunblock as well and didn’t realize not after I was in stage of sunburn Y_Y
Lesson learned: Always have a handy sunblock with you especially now that summer heat is enjoying it’s stay in our country.

Hugs and kisses from miss JHENZ http://jeniferbalatico.blogspot.com/

    1. Sigh, I have to keep re-learning that lesson every year….

  3. Vancouver looks so beautiful in the sunshine.

    Love your new site! xo

    1. Thanks! Yeah, I’m a huge Clarins fan as well.

  5. That stinks that you got burnt but what a wonderful chance to try this out! I always burn and then turn pale again :(. Maybe an after-sun lotion would fix that.

    1. I used to tan and now I just burn…..it does suck! The cream has been awesome though!

  6. Yay! The new domain is up! Hip hip hooray for a smooth transition!

    1. Yes it was awesome. I have to give a huge thanks to Frances from The Fashion Hive, she was awesome!

  7. I used to be a hit or miss when it came down to using sunscreen daily, until I went to Jamaica and got a mild sunburn on my thighs. Believe it or not I use that product, especial when I’m out at my cabin. By the way great shots of Vancouver!

<3 Clarins Caroline… really great products!!!
    Beautiful photo of Vancouver!!!!
    Kisses darling!

  10. In terms of bronzer since you asked: .I am usually really pale as well, so what I use, sure works for you! You could always go for just a dark blush (like the Tarte one mentioned or NARS Madly) See how you feel with that. Usually, if used with a light hand, any bronzer (for light skin as marked in the post) should work just fine!

SPF before and aftercare always important!
