Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy. After getting so excited about finding a gorgeous lilac polish for my toes, I stumbled upon Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy polish at the drugstore and just couldn’t resist. My huge speech on how I don’t wear polish on my fingers went out the window. I gulped and brought #230, Satellite, home with me. This is the first time in years that I’ve purchase a nail polish intended for my hands instead of my toes.
Generally I take really good care of my hands and nails so I was able to dive right in. Although I think it’s a little bit dark for summer, the base colour is a really nice deep maroon. I could easily wear it for an evening out on its own. I still insist on keeping my nails short though and for now I’ll have to stick to that rule.
My only concern with this product is the packaging. I’m used to holding a standard nail applicator and because this one has another polish on top of it, the balance is different (it’s top heavy). This wasn’t a problem for my right hand but for the left it was a little tricky at first. To be fair this could also be due to the fact that I’m out of practice but my nails on my right hand were a bit of a mess after the first pass.
All in all I think the final product turned out quite nice and really fun. I was looking forward to creating a fun pattern but, admittedly, I found the sparkles a little awkward to place over top of the existing polish. They seemed to bunch together so I had to try and spread them apart. The funniest part is that now when I look down at my hands I don’t recognize them.
In the summer I like to keep everything light and this is a more dramatic look. I’ll probably save this colour combination until the fall. I think, however, that only means another trip to the drugstore for some more!
Have you tried Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy? Do you love it?

OH that rule went right out the window and I’ve had them like this for a few days now so the staying power is pretty good!
I prefer lighter colors as well, but this combo looks great for Fall & Winter.

Yup! I’m really excited to try the lighter one now.
That’s so cool! I love polish with a top coat of sparkle/glitter/texture; it looks nice and it’s also a bit easier to maintain the manicure because if you get a chip, you can just add a brush of the top coat and it looks like new (so much easier than trying to correct a solid color).
Oh, you’re letting the secret out! The gold sparkles hid a lot of not so great brush strokes…..
I’ve heard of these, but never seen them at my local drugstore! I will need to find these soon! 🙂
Oh go find them! They were really inexpensive too so that means lots of choices!
Ciao Caroline!!!!

I agree. The base colour is very classic it’s just a very deep red so in real life they aren’t that ‘crazy’.
