Beauty Mark. Had a great time last night because one of my favourite makeup stores, Beauty Mark, was hosting a Christmas party! Woohoo! Judging by the amount of people there at 5:30 I’m going to say they had a really successful night.
Downstairs lots people were sampling all sorts of great products, upstairs even more people were having their nails done, drinking a glass of wine and sampling yummy of candy.
My not so secret purpose for going was that I discovered they carry Tata Harper products. I’ve heard so much about this line and have been curious to try it for some time now. Lately I’ve become more concerned about what products I’m putting on my body. There are so many chemicals in everything and that just can’t be good. The problem is that I seem to be sensitive to a lot of the ‘all natural’ products and most of the time they don’t really do much for me. I love the whole philosophy of this brand so I decided to jump right in and bought the Replenishing Nutrient Complex and the Resurfacing Mask which will definitely appear in a later post as I test them!
Then my friends and I discovered our new secret weapon….her name is Alisha and she is my new go to eyebrow master! Basically we shoved ourselves into her space and begged for a consultation. She patiently went over our brows explaining that they should compliment each other but not be mirror images. I believe her exact words were, “they are sisters not twins”. How genius. At this point my friend sat down and begged to have her brows done. Not sure if Alisha knew what hit her but she was awesome, with a fantastic sense of humour, showing us how to retrain the hair growth to have the arch in the exact right spot for our individual looks.
Before this I never spent much time thinking about my brows (mind you I’ve always kept them neat but the shape, well it is what it is) now, however, I am a changed person. The difference in my friend’s face was amazing, she looked brighter and it was an automatic face lift (although she certainly, by no stretch of the imagination would need one anytime soon). I promptly made an appointment for Wednesday! I’m such a regular at Beauty Mark that I can’t imagine how I didn’t know about this gem.

This sounds like so much fun! What a great idea for a shop to do 🙂
oh do tell me the secret of eyebrow hair growth, Caroline, I’m in DIRE need of this advice! lol great post as always! <3
Ha! Okay it’s about where the arch is, you don’t want them too far to the side. Then you want to make sure (no matter how thick or thin) that you taper the brow! I’ll know more on Wednesday after my appointment.
Sounds like you did have a lot of fun! And an interesting though about eyebrows: they are sisters not twins! Looking forward to the review of those two products you got!

Alisha is totally amazing! I have family that travel hundreds of miles just to see her. I’ve been known to cancel clent meetings just to keep an appointment. You’ve struck GOLD my friend!!!
