Bracelets A Collection

bracelets

Bracelets. I don’t wear bracelets very much. I don’t know why, no good explanation but that certainly doesn’t mean that I can’t buy them when I see one I like….. Since, clearly my life is all about thieving (with permission of course) coveted pieces from my family members, I’ve also snagged some interesting bracelets from my mom’s collection….

This is an assortment of that I’ve ‘collected’. The two silver cuffs on the left are old and belonged to my mom. The one on top is extremely thin and frankly I’m a little afraid to wear it, the other one, well I don’t have a good reason not to be wearing it, looking at it now I think it should go into circulation. Of course I wear my Tiffany charm bracelet all the time. For a while I was totally obsessed with my Pandora bracelet. It took me a really long time to collect all the charms and  I still really like it but now that it’s basically full I’m kinda bored with it…and it’s super heavy. I put that collection together quite some time ago and prices have since gone up so I don’t even want to think about how much it’s worth now. While I’m not always a huge fan of Amber (although it seems to creep in everywhere) I do, however, like the milky coloured stones. That particular bracelet is too big and I need to have a few links removed.

Huh, another amber bracelet…well what do you expect from someone who comes from a Polish family? It’s all around me, although I don’t think I’ve ever worn that one. The one on the bottom is interesting because it’s wood and silver. I like that it’s natural feeling, the warmth of the wood is really nice.

There’s really nothing overly special about these but I had to include the one on top (it looked really plain as a stand alone in the picture). I bought that bracelet when I was in Venice about 22 to 26 years ago…. See I told you I just don’t throw small mementos like this out. Usually I hate ‘stuff’ I throw junk out all the time but tiny things like this I just can’t. I’m willing to bet that I’ll have the Venetian glass somewhere in my collection another 20 years from now!

Do you have any favourite bracelets?

  3. I love bracelets, but the things is I’m such a germ freak so when I wash my hands I rarely take them and they get wet and I feel gross. That’s why I don’t wear them, but I am the same way too I like to buy cute bracelets when I got a little extra cash to blow. 🙂

    1. I think that’s what it is… I hate when they get wet and you don’t want to keep taking them off! I get that.

  4. Woww… I just loved the collection.

    1. Arm party! I never thought of it that way….love that!

  5. Awesome collection there. Love bracelets, but don’t wear them too much. It’s earnings and necklaces . Although, it’s so much fun going through your parents jewellery box -true vintage. A couple of years ago, my Grandma passed, and she left her jewellery box with me – there was some beautiful pieces, and things that I was too scared to wear because they looked too fragile!

    1. Thanks! I know what you mean about fragility, but I think that anything that isn’t too delicate should be worn and enjoyed, you can just pick where! It kinda makes me feel good when I wear my mom’s old pieces.
