How to workout when it’s hot. It’s hot again, very hot. I’m not used to the East Coast heat anymore and I can absolutely say that working out has been a challenge, even though the air conditioning is blasting. Somehow the intense humidity manages to permeate the cold air making it super hard to breathe.
HOW TO WORKOUT WHEN IT’S HOT
Timing is everything. I remember when I was still dancing and our teachers would schedule jumping when the heat was at its worst, claiming that it was good training. Now that may have been fine and good since we were in our physical prime, but if I tried to do that now, I know that I would collapse before my feet ever left the ground. Try scheduling your workouts early in the morning or after the sun has begun to set and you will be much more comfortable. Alternatively, if you exercise outdoors, go when it’s raining out. The air will be much fresher and you’ll be a lot cooler.
