Necklaces. It’s funny because I tend to be so attached to my jewelry that I actually have a hard time changing my necklaces. I’ve collected a lot of them but somehow I wind up wearing the same one over and over again until someone, usually my husband, buys me a new one. They almost become like good luck charms and then it makes it hard to rotate them.
I don’t wear all of these all the time but they’ve all had their moment in the sun. Lately I’ve been wearing the disk, it’s from Tiffany’s and has New York engraved on it. My husband bought it for me on my birthday last year because he knows my obsession with the city, so thoughtful! That big green one in the middle used to belong to my mom, I usually wear it with a t-shirt and blazer, it looks very sharp. I think, however, the coolest of the bunch is probably the little black one that says floating shift. It was a birthday present from my sister and comes from an old typewriter….. I just love that idea (I’ve always loved vintage typewriters, cameras etc), proves that she knows me well!
Pearls, pearls and more pearls. There’s just something about a pearl necklace! Some of these are real and some are obviously not but in the end it just doesn’t matter, they can be simple and elegant or funky and a little bit crazy and in the end it’s all good. Personally I love pearls with jeans and a t-shirt, elegance vs simplicity you can never go wrong!
The one on the left is just fun and the one on the right is another one of those interesting pieces that was passed down in the family. I have no idea what it says (I’m really hoping it’s nothing bad, if it is then I probably don’t want to know) but I love how interesting it is.
Last but certainly not least is my little rose gold chain. This was originally the chain for a pocket watch, it belonged either to my paternal grandfather or great grandfather. It was made into a necklace and then past on to the women in the family. My mom received it and I’ve now inherited it. It’s a beautiful little choker, simple and delicate and goes with everything. I love it.
Do you have any favourite necklaces?

Wow, such great necklaces! The green one you inherited from your mother is by far my favorite, and I can picture it so perfectly with a t-shirt and blazer. Lovely.

Thanks! It has taken a long time to collect them…..
I agree with the above poster, great collection!
I know what you mean in regards to jewelry becoming like good luck charms. It’s a strange occurrence, but it happens frequently. I’m currently trying to get myself out of the habit and wearing the rest of my jewelry more frequently.
Thanks. I wanted to rediscover some of my pieces…I forgot I had a lot of these!
