Resources for feeling your best. I believe that feeling your best means finding a balance in your life for things that are just for you and for your responsibilities. It could mean incorporating some yoga moves into your day, it could mean sitting on a park bench and breathing or it could mean buying yourself a new lipstick, just because it makes you feel more confident. This is an individual thing and it can change at a moments notice.
There are times when I really need to break a sweat while blasting my tunes and other times when I just need some sparkle to give me a bounce to my step. There will always be big, overwhelming events that throw us off track, but if we can hang on to some consistency then those major issues will be easier to handle and regulate.
These are some resources that I’ve put together for you to check in on when you need them. Save the page or save the links that resonate with you and when life starts to go off the rails, you can find your sanity.
RESOURCES FOR FEELING YOUR BEST
I grew up very shy and even now I’m a master at talking myself out of things. I’m positive this causes me to miss out on lots of opportunities and experiences that would otherwise be very enriching. Also, when I don’t do something that I wanted to do then I feel bad and start beating myself up. Part of feeling my best is trying to radiate confidence. People smile at me, I smile back and right away there’s a little bit more sunshine in the world. Instead of hiding away and drowning your insecurities, try facing them head on and see how that feels.

Unless you are working in a professional environment it can be very easy to never get dressed up or event to care for your appearance. I admit that I fall into this trap, so it’s a good thing that I always look in the mirror before leaving the house. Wearing clothing you love matters.

Do you find yourself stepping on a scale multiple times a day and getting depressed when the numbers don’t move? Our society is obsessed with that number and quite often our happiness is based on what it’s doing. I’ve spent a whole week working out hard only to find the number stays the same and that has caused me a lot of anguish. Here are some ways to rethink your weight and health.

Stress is stress whether it’s the every day kind or the kind that’s associated with holidays. While you probably won’t be able to make it completely go away, unless you choose to flee to a deserted island, there are lots of little things you can do to make it a lot more bearable.
