Shopping. Yup another little haunt of mine gets the spotlight today. I thought of this place specifically because lately I’ve been seeing the beginnings of Christmas posts and while I definitely love to get into the spirit I’m starting to get a little freaked out by what awaits me at the local mall. A Fashionista friend of mine, Sharon, opened this store, Pret-a-Porter Luxe several years ago. After many years of working for some pretty major labels (think La Prairie, LV) she decided to open her own boutique where she can hand pick the best of the best and stock unique finds that aren’t in all the big chains.
Sometimes it’s just fun to be a little spoiled! I like to pick out pieces that are unique, things that all of my friends won’t have. Best of all Sharon has beautiful books and magazines out on display, so if I run out of ideas I can just flip through them and create my dream outfit.
With her years of extensive experience Sharon has immaculate taste. She finds all sorts of great pieces that work for a wide variety of people. She’s definitely my go to person when I need some specialty style advice. I’m definitely eyeing this coat as it’s so toasty I could sleep in it. The heels are another item on my wish list. They have padding under the toe so I feel like I am wearing my sneakers…almost, because, well they are a lot prettier!
Now I don’t know about the rest of you but I have a hard time pushing and shoving my way through big department stores. The fluorescent lights cause me to lose focus and all the noise just enters my brain and takes over. If I had it my way I would enter a calming space, take some time (as much as I need) try on beautiful things with no pressure and leave with pieces that I really and truly love. Can’t you just picture yourself trying on jewelry that is displayed elegantly in front of you, while sitting on a comfortable chair and looking into a huge mirror that you have all to yourself. So ladylike, so elegant and part of that great shopping experience.
I think I need this sweater and I’m not sure that I can live much longer without that silver bag. Yes I’m being totally dramatic and unrealistic but what can I say it’s Sunday morning as I write this, freezing cold outside and I’m happily living with the warm glow of Pret-a-Porter Luxe deep in my mind.
Aha, I just figured it out. You know that friend we all have, the one that always looks put together, always has something new and fabulous, wearing it with a careless grace. Come on, admit it we all have that friend, you love her but are just a little bit jealous wondering what she’ll have on before you meet up for an evening out. Well Sharon’s boutique is just like shopping in her closet!!!!
What is your favourite place to go shopping?

Thank you so much for your lovely comments of my blog!! I would love to try the hairstyle out but one problem: I have the kind of curly ringlet-y hair which is pretty impossible to tame :/ I would’ve loved to try out that grunge look!

Oh, judging by your site I think you would appreciate it!
It is a remarkable post! and I didn’t understand it such design of shop a little? If it so that is fine shop salon in which it would be desirable to drink a mug of hot coffee or tea and to buy to itself a heap of things! If it is the apartment, it too a remarkable place. Thank you for the comment. I follow you.
