Treats for a Rainy Day

DSC_0645

Rainy Day. This was the amazing view that I woke up to this morning. I know, what a fantastic day….Sigh. Unfortunately a rainy day is what we see outside our windows much too often. It’s one of those days where you don’t even get to see the sun. There’s a chill in the air that goes right through to your bones and no matter what you do you can’t seem to get warm. Well lucky for me I won a contest held by a lovely blogger, Luchessa of Beauty Expression by Luchessa and my package arrived a few days ago! Even better for me it contained some awesome products that I could test out without having to brave the rain!

First this amazing hand cream by Essence, Gingerbread Chai Latte. The shea butter and coconut oil makes my hands so soft. I actually think it would be great to use on my feet as well. It’s not oily and that’s always a feature I look for since there’s nothing worse than greasy hands. I put the cream on and was able to type on my laptop within a few seconds. I’m generally not a huge fan of very sweet smelling creams so this one works great for me as the gingerbread chai scent is a little bit spicy and not at all overpowering. I can still put on my perfume and it blends perfectly.

I laughed when I saw the lip balm and silently thanked my mom for making me go to french school as all the info was in German and French! It has a nice and thick consistency, perfect if you are spending a lot of time outside. I also love that it’s 25 SPF. Those rays are still damaging even through heavy cloud and really we do get sunshine every once in a while.

Gingerbread is great at any time of the year! I wish you could all smell how wonderful this tea is. I’m actually really glad it arrived after the holidays. After all the excess, it’s nice to be ingesting foods that are soothing and relaxing. On a night like tonight there is nothing better than a warm cup of tea! All in all not such a bad rainy.

Thank you Luchessa!

What fun treats ! Seems like a great pick me up on such a dreary day. So much gingerbread ! 🙂

    1. That tea is fantastic!

  43. I dont know gingerbread-tea, so sorry, although I like tea very much. Maybe this sort of tea isn´t sold in our region. I think I´m drinking about 5 – 6 big cups a day. And if I say big I mean it really.

For me especially is tea absolutely indispensable to life because in our region it isn´t oft warm enough for myself. E. g. at the moment we have lots of snow.

Thanks you very much for heartwarming pictures – at the moment I don´t need tea to feel warm inside of me 🙂
