Recently Made in Blog asked to review this new app called Tubetime. I downloaded the app on my ipad and then had to wait patiently for about half an hour before I could pry it away from my husband’s hands. He started to play with it immediately and definitely didn’t want to give it up. His first comment, “This is pretty sweet. We might actually have to start using this!”. Well coming from a tech-savvy guy who used to create video games I think that’s the best review ever. In fact, as I write this he’s downloading the app onto both our phones.
We are all so busy and personally I never pre-plan the shows I want to watch. Instead, I make a mental note and am quite often disappointed when I realize that I forgot my show was on. I love the fact that the app has notifications to remind me when my show is about to start. Trying to find a show with my cable provider’s default remote control can be really painful but now I just type my show into the search and I can easily find it. This feature will be very welcome the next time I forget when Smash is on.
Setting everything up was so easy. All I had to do was enter my postal code, choose my cable provider and it downloaded all the listings in my area. I love social media and I can easily tweet about my shows right from the app. This will be awesome the next time there’s a huge event on TV. The best part, however, is the fact that I can get a connector for my ipad/phone and then get rid of most of my remotes!
Simplicity is always best.
