Your summer fitness guide. I have spent most of my life in one dance studio or another, I’ve taught rock climbing, I’ve been a personal trainer and I’ve owned a Pilates studio. In all those years, I’ve picked up lots of fitness tips and gained a lot of knowledge about fitness and staying healthy.
I’ve also gone the unhealthy route of under-eating and over-training. It’s only in recent years that I’ve been able to find the perfect balance of being active, eating healthy and still being able to maintain a life that I enjoy.
I’m going to be presumptuous for a moment and guess that many of you don’t really feel like spending hours at the gym, but that you want to wake up feeling good about yourselves. That shouldn’t be too much to ask. Sure, there are some people that live for the gym, but just as many do not and that’s okay. You also probably don’t want to be made to feel guilty if you skip a day or two or three.
The reality is that most of us live fairly sedentary lives, so it’s important that we make time to workout and that it shouldn’t take all of our time. If we do that then we are just setting ourselves up for failure.
So, I wrote FitWise for all you who want to be healthy and fit, without locking yourselves up in a gym 24/7.
